How we made a difference in 2017
Rosanna Tuason Fores is the Chief Executive Officer of Hijo Resources Corporation, a pioneering agricultural conglomerate that is now successfully diversifying into tourism, port operations and logistics, real estate development, and renewable energy. She is also a founder-shareholder of Enderun Colleges Inc, a leading culinary school. Rosanna was elected President of the Tourism Congress of the Philippines in 2014, and is working to bring out the potential of tourism as a strong contributor to the country’s economic growth. Rosanna’s philanthropic efforts are channeled through the Tuason Development Foundation Inc (TDFI), where she serves as President. TDFI is a Mindanao-based foundation with programs geared towards the environment, education, and entrepreneurship; it currently runs the Davao Gulf Business Incubator, a USAID-funded program aimed at helping the rural poor of Mindanao start and manage their own businesses. Her socio-civic efforts were recently recognized by the St. Paul College of Business and Law, which awarded her with the St. Paul Signum Merit Award in 2015.
