TELUS Internet for Good

Internet For Good

We believe no child should be left with their potential unrealized. We know that access to the Internet gives families in need the opportunity to succeed: it’s right for our community members, it’s right for our business and it’s right for the strength of our economy.

That’s why we created TELUS Internet for Good, a pilot program that shows an innovative collaboration between TELUS and the British Columbia Ministry of Social Innovation and Social Development and the Ministry of Community and Social Services in Alberta in qualifying eligible participants for the program.

This program is a collaborative effort between a number of charitable community partners including the British Columbia Technology for Learning Society, Decoda Literacy Solutions, Alberta Computers for Schools, The Alberta Library and the Royal Conservatory working together to help families succeed.

Features include:

  • $9.95 per month (plus applicable taxes) for one year
  • Speeds up to 25 megabits per second (where available) and up to 300 gigabits of data per month
  • Access to a low cost refurbished computer
  • Access to free internet training and online safety material
  • Access to free music education programs

"Many thanks to TELUS for connecting us!!! I realize most people in BC have internet now, but for us it's a really big deal! I attend school online and work online, and to be able to do it all easily from home while caring for my child with disabilities is magical!"

Internet for Good Customer

This program helps by addressing the three most common barriers cited to in-home internet adoption: price, device and education.
